Hi, my name is ShadowLily64! Am I entitled to SDP and how do I apply?

Hi everyone this is very new to me but hopefully someone can help me with some information about if I am entitled to SDP and how I can apply for it

Hi there thanks for your response, myself and my partner were put onto Universal Credit in 2017 because we were put in temporary accommodation, we are both on PIP, enhanced daily living and have never received any transitional protection or sdp since we were transferred over to universal credit. My partner is my carer so can we still claim sdp for a single person although we are a couple and can it be backdated

SDP is not paid as a premium on Universal Credit.
There may be some missed SDP Transitional Protection entitlement, because the rules around TP and natural migration (applying for UC through change of circumstances) can be complex due to court rulings etc, I'm going to suggest you see a trained benefits advisor.
