Pip- ‘No decision yet text’ after pip assessment.

hi all. I had my assessment on the 2April. Got a text a week ago saying ‘we still haven’t made a decision’. I’m just wondering how long you live had to wait for a decision pls? I’m so worried. I’m not expecting good news now…. Just need some closure and a decision! Thx for any timelines… most appreciated.

    Hello @PipMcStressy. Is this for an initial claim or review? Reviews are currently taking around 34 weeks.

    yes it’s a new claim. I’ve had my assessment. Had a text last week saying no decision made yet. Some people say they hear a few days later some weeks. I applied dec last year.

    Thank you for the additional information @PipMcStressy. How quickly you receive a response does not have any bearing on what the outcome will be. Some people hear back very quickly and are declined and others wait months for a positive outcome. The text message you received are sent automatically.

    It can be 8-12 weeks after an assessment for a decision to be made.
