Hi, my name is emma1111! How long does it take to get a PIP tribunal through?

I had to do a change of circumstances last July as was diagnosed with ADHD I also have depression, anxiety and PTSD as well as a blood condition called ITP which wipes me out. I have since had a flare up of my sacroiliac joint and am getting physio now for that, my neck and shoulders. I am very weak and need constant help with many things including finances. I sent my paperwork in late but did call them twice to tell them that I was still getting evidence. They did the assessment before they had the nearly 300 pages of evidence of MH and blood results and a lot of letters from my mental health team. They came back and one of the assessors lied saying I went to an unfamiliar place which is in my town and ai drive past it (3 min drive) to get my children from school, daily. I also had my mum and daughter with me and they also knew where it was so he wrote down that I went to an unfamiliar place. They have awarded me 10 points for not being able to walk more than 50 metres and last time they awarded 10 points for not being able to follow a journey and nothing for the walking part as this is due to my constant back pain. They have also scored me zero for managing finances which I got 4 points for last time. I even have evidence that I have always need help with this from my dad but in more recent months I had to swap to UC and it overwhelmed me. I am now with a homemaker lady who was nominated to me by the council to, again, help with finances. I now have a CAB lady helping with my PIP appeal to the tribunal. How long more will I have to wait. I hardly leave the house unless it’s to take children to school which is a short drive but even that causes back ache. I’m prescribed morphine and hardly take it as I know it’s addictive so try and do stretches instead. I’ve been googling and it says a tribunal can be 4 months to a year. I’ve gone through hell and back over the last year especially and the lies on the first assessment and the MR are just awful. I told them one thing and they obviously wrote something else. They didn’t even send the report for that apart from the point scores. Please can anyone help with what to do now as 6 months is just way too long to wait. I feel that they are turning me down just because of making cuts next year 😩 I need help xx

Hi @emma1111, welcome to the community and I'm sorry to hear your PIP difficulties are causing so much stress. Lots of people have said they found inaccurate information on their reports, so you're not alone there. It's horrible having to fight for what you need and the waiting between appeals is never easy either.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to give an exact time range for PIP tribunals as it can vary a lot from case to case. Some people do have to wait a few months to get their dates through, but I hope yours comes through sooner than later and it all gets sorted quickly.
Hopefully some of our members who have been to tribunals lately can pop along and share how long theirs took so you can get an idea of the different time frames too. Fingers crossed it's a quick one for you 💙
