Any advice Improving Balance
Should probably go to the GP but recently by balance has decreased significantly. I used to be ok walking short distances unassisted but now even slight inclines of the real world (which sadly isnt flat, make me tense up unable to move)
To return to my old baseline I have been doing my classic throw myself on the floor and get back up again which is a good workout for me (in limited amounts) and also slowly trying to push through mental barriers.

Hi @lingo7728
Welcome to the community.
I've noticed in recent years my mobility and dexterity has decreased, which has caused pain in my left hand and knee. I have right sided hemiplegia. After a conversation with the CP Network team, Post Impairment Syndrome was explained to me.
Although the brain injury doesn’t worsen over a person’s lifetime, with ageing the condition can cause new challenges and issues. My colleague Richard Luke wrote an informative article on this.
I have started some online seated workouts which have helped significantly.
We have the CP Network which you are welcome to join. and there is a good Facebook page called Cerebral Palsy Adult Advice UK the members are a great community to answer questions and offer support.
If you need any further advice and guidance, please contact our team.
