How do you get access to all the X-ray/scans you’ve had done ?

Hi I had to get my last few years medical records . Obviously they did not contain older stuff the actual results from X-rays /scans just a few unremarkable remarks . However some of my early X-rays I was told xyz but there’s no mention of this In my last few years of medical history. Has anyone requested just this info and how do you do it please? Ty

Hi @Dendoo, I did a Subject Access Request at the hospital I was an outpatient with and they sent me copies of my scans and records including images and test results.
I would say that these scans were within the last 10 years and some hospitals may not keep records beyond that time. Some might also have different rules about what they can send out. If you know which hospital ordered your scans, it could be worth contacting them to see whether they'd still have your records on file and whether you can request copies of them.
From what I remember, I just found the link to Subject Access Requests on my hospital's website and filled in a form. It took a while for them to sort it, but it came through eventually. They sent some of my records over a download via email and the images were sent on a CD in the post.
Hope you can find the things you're looking for!

The shelf life of x-rays is 10 years, this is a scam. Technically, they are not deleted, they are forever on the hdd.

I’d really like them from when my issues started way back and the comments .
