When a rule says “under £6,000 per household,” it can seem unfair because:
A single person has to manage all expenses alone.
A couple still has only a £6,000 allowance, even though there are two people!
Should be £10,000 for couples per household and £6,000 for single per household.
Is it already complaint to the relevant government office?

Two people can share many things such as white goods, furniture, vehicle, etc.
Personally I believe the £6000 should be increased for everyone.
However, don't forget you are allowed up to £16,000 on Universal Credit. There is only a fairly small deduction made for savings between £6000-£16000.
