Hi everyone i'm new to your community and a bit nervous, but i have a question if thats ok, i am currently getting old style esa support group but had a uc migration letter on 5th march but changed address after that, i notified dwo by letter but not heard anything, i wasnt claiming hb at my old house and am not claiming housing costs at my new house, does anyone know if i can still migrate under managed migration and therefore still get transitional protection and move into lcwra group, sorry for the long question, i have been so anxious about this

Part of your ESA is likely Income Related.

If you are still within the deadline to migrate you should be fine to proceed under managed migration.

I'd recommend speaking to Citizens Advice who offer a Help to Claim service, they can support you before during and after a claim.

They can be contacted by phone and webchat

Please see this thread (click on the purple text View Post) for an explanation of what happens after a UC claim is made with an existing ESA IR&CB award.

Hi kimi87 thank you for your quick response, i am due to migrate under managed migration by 6th june but am thinking of doing it early as i am concerned that as i've now notified dwp of my change of address, they may try to stop my esa support group even tho they've not responded to my change of address letter yet, i did tell them that i dont need to claim for housing costs, so i dont need to make a new claim for legacy benefits, i am so worried about this

A change of address won't have any impact on your ESA claim.
