ESA to UC question
I have to move from ESA support group & HB to UC before 22 May. Should I wait until I receive next ESA payment in 12 May or transfer now? I can't get through to CAB helpline in migration letter and they did not call me back.
I would also like to know if I can request rent to be paid directly to my housing association landlord and to receive LCWRA payments every 2 weeks, because I have problems managing money. Can I do this when I complete the UC online form or do I have to wait for first UC payment?

On the forum we recommend making a UC claim the day after an ESA payment, to help ensure the final payment (known as the run on payment) will be for the full amount.
If you are in Scotland you can request those things after your first payment.
If you live elsewhere you can request these via your online account (known as the Journal) after submitting the application.
Rent would be paid monthly to your Landlord.
Standard Allowance, LCWRA and any other elements you are entitled to would be paid to you twice a month (not fortnightly).
This does prolong the wait to receive your first full payment as after 5 weeks you'd only receive half your award.
