Hi I’m disabled and have been for years, I don’t know if I could work part time. I was a PA and trained teachers assistant. If I tried to work - part time and it worked - would I lose my pip? Would be an office based job)

If I couldn’t cope with it due to pain etc, what is the latest rules? Would I be able to go back on universal credit and pip or would I end up waiting weeks for the money to be reinstated? Anyone else tried it? Thoughts please

    Hi,

    PIP isn't means tested so that isn't affected by earnings at all. If the job you do contradicts the reasons you get PIP then that could cause problems next time it's reviewed.

    For Universal Credit I assume you get LCWRA? That means that you have a Work Allowance of £411 each month (or over £600 if you don't get Housing Element). As long as you are earning less than the allowance, and the work you do doesn't contradict the reasons you get LCWRA, then that's perfectly acceptable and won't affect your payments.
