Lord, I pray you guide the hands of the surgeon , that your angels assist the nurses, that the whole surgery goes perfectly, that the recovery amazes the hospital, I ask it in the precious name of Jesus, Amen..

just a helpful note I hope to all who have to have surgery ,,, years ago when I was put to sleep I felt sick was sick and groggy ,,, this last time I was out to sleep I woke up hungry and well in fact very hungry , so the improvement in the medical world has definitely improved ππ just saying in case anyone out there is worried etc xx

And just to reassure anyone who has to get a new knee ,,, yea it hurts , yea itβs frustrating , but it will be one and half weeks today since I had it done , and I can say itβs my own mental battles that are the hardest ,, ie I am super independent and donβt like relying on people , but apart from that , you have nothing to fear , the nurses docs etc are all fantastic and so kind , the food in hospital was very good tbf and each day is a new day ,, onwards and upwards xxx

medicine helps as well off hospital but I am trying to wean myself off morphine and codine now as well as the other cocktails they gave me ,, so moral of story is , keep the faith , human body is an amazing thing and we are all incredibly lucky to be here β€οΈ

Glad things are going well for you @Ollyoyster it's great to hear. π
I must admit, I'm a tad nervous about my ankle/foot op later in the month, but I think I'm just worried I'll say something really embarrassing when I'm waking up from the anesthetic. π

awww good luck π€ hey donβt be worried , I could embarrass myself on here and say what I said to nurse , but I think itβs too rude ,,, but that was because I needed a tinkle and I couldnβt feel anything from waste down and enough said ,,, but they were fantastic nurses we actually all ended up having a good laugh and banter xx

Haha, I'm sure they hear the same kind of thing multiple times a day too. π
