Hello my name lyn and I have been a registered nurse for over 40 years last 20 years working in chemotherapy day unit

sadly last year I feel down the stairs at home and caused a Compressed wedge fracture of my spine

A year later I'm struggling with pain mobility issues and anxiety issues my unit i can't stand for long periods without being in pain have reduced my hours but to be honest I can't do it anymore I've tryed pushing myself but makes it's worse.

have recently found out i have 2 prolapsed discs so feel like abit of a car crash lol 😆 I want to work but at a lose what do to just needed to put it out there i love my job but can't do it anymore sadly

thank you so much Had a meeting with my manager friday and on non clinical work from next week for a short period of time 3 days a week they are following the disability code but I have a hours journey to work which doesn't help

I have a assessment by occupational health on Thursday which I have spoke to on 2 previous occasions she was lovely my anxiety is getting the best of me because I know I can't do my clinical job anymore I think I've come to terms with that but it's finding something that I can do now part time thank you for reading if helps knowing someone is there thank you lynx

Have you considered working for somewhere like the 111 service?

I haven't but thank you i will have a look the problem is I can't sit or stand for long periods of time waiting to see gp about pain management trying accupunture thank you for your support
