UC Question

Hello
I am going through the process of a managed migration from ESA Support Group to UC.
I have received my last ESA payment today but the last ESA payment of the month will be missed and then UC kicks in on June 8th.
The Job Centre has provided me with a loan to help me through but I was just wondering if this was right.
I.e having a payment taken away through no fault of my own then asked to pay back a loan. Is this how its supposed to work?
Have others experienced similar?
All the best
Helen

Yes that is all how it is supposed to work.
Income Related ESA is ending so it's correct that you were asked to claim UC, the replacement for ESA.
The loan is to help you financially until the first UC payment, which has a different payment cycle.
It is correct that you will pay back this loan a bitvat a time from your UC award.
