You will typically wait 90 days from the date of injury or illness before you can receive Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB). This is because benefit is not payable for the first 15 weeks after the injury or illness. While you can claim IIDB straight away, you won't receive payments until after this 90-day waiting period.
