ESA to UC Migration help please

Hi,
I'm a bit confused so would be grateful of some help.
I did the migration application on the 10th April. I was told by a friend that two weeks later I'd get the final ESA payment and then the UC would kick in 5 weeks after the 10th April. Is this correct?
On the 24th April I received £281.10 from ESA which was £200 a fortnight LESS than I usually get. Two weeks later on the 8th May I received another £281.10 from ESA.
On the payment statement they have deducted £600 as ESA I have received and it says I continue to get it. But I thought if I migrated then the ESA would stop? But I can't also see where the £600 has come from?
I left a message on my journal asking for help, I explained the above and I got a short reply saying the calculations were correct and I still get ESA.
Please can someone help me? I'm a bit lost with this.
Thanks.

This is a very common question, please click on the purple text View Post and read through this thread to understand what has happened and why.
The up to date figures are £281.10 a fortnight and £609.05 deduction from UC (ESA is a weekly benefit, UC monthly and there are 4.3 weeks in a month).

Thank you. I'm still a bit confused.
So I'm now on ESA AND UC?
Why don't they explain this to us?

Yes you are now on ESA and UC.
Some communication should arrive eventually about the change in your ESA.
But generally the DWP are awful at communication, ESA letters have never made much sense!

Thank you so so much. I've been so confused and worried.
