Hi, my name is nottzmum82! I think the PIP letter was a habitual residence test

hi just wondering if anyone can give me some information I applied for pip in November last year they refused it so I appealed it when I sent my forms back I ask sent photo drs reports etc now last week I had a letter from pip asking questions like have I been to prison stayed in hospital care home bank details changed etc is this normal for them to send letters out asking these questions I thought it would be asked over the phone I think the letter was a habitual residence test

Heya @nottzmum82 and welcome to the community. 😁
If you miss a call from the DWP asking those questions, they'll often send a letter, so I don't think there's anything nefarious going on there.

hiya thanks for coming back to me yes I missed there call and sent me the letter , was just querying if it’s normal also read some previous comments to the same question some saying it’s there way of calculating back payments

They ask those questions usually before getting your PIP award... Fingers crossed!
