Hi, I am in a terrible state over the waiting for my pip descion,I am suffering from manic depression and several other physical issues and it's worrying me sick because I was told 8 weeks but it's seven n almost 8 now and all I've heard is they hadn't made a descion yet,I'm struggling to cope and wish I was well enough to just carry on working but I'm not and am so upset that I'm having to claim for this to survive it's so awful I feel as it I'm being punished I am also waiting for the universal credit to award me the lcwra but nearly three months after being told I was on the list for the appointment I still have not heard anything from them.i know it's probably not the case but I'm certain I'm being punished for being ill,Does anyone else feel like this?

As far as I'm aware , pip has a huge bagglog of claims unfortunately I'm sorry you are going through a very stressful time and must be very frustrating. I do hope you get some resolution soon x

How long did you wait for the assessment after sending out your PIP form?

Hi @al_Jones1234 Welcome to the Community. I hope you enjoy your time on the forum. Any questions just ask.

I am sorry you are so stressed waiting for your PIP decision. It can seem like forever when you are waiting and each day you think it will be today.

Unfortunately there is a backlog and they do take some time.

Have a look around and join in when you are ready. It might help to take your mind off things.

    Take care.

Hi @al_Jones1234 and a warm welcome to the community!

As the others have mentioned there is a big backlog at the moment so it’s really not unusual to have to wait longer than expected for the decision. Fingers crossed you hear something soon🙂

@al_Jones1234 a person I know waited quite a while for LCWRA, so try and stay calm and not dwell on it.
