Cervical Cancer

Hi all, my name is Lisa and I have just gone through a cervical cancer journey. I'm now 11 months post treatment with my last scan showing no signs of cancer, which is amazing. I was diagnosed with Stage 3c1 in March 2024 and had radiotherapy and brachytherapy. It's been a long and difficult journey so I'd love to share and help any ladies going through the same or recently diagnosed if I can.

Firstly, welcome to Scope, Lisa! I’m so pleased to hear that you’re 11 months post treatment and in remission, what an incredible milestone! I know firsthand how much strength and perseverance it takes to get through a cancer diagnosis, not to mention the toll treatment can take. It’s so kind of you to offer support to others going through the same thing. I’m really happy to hear you’re doing so well!

So pleased you're now hopefully doing well @Mokitten - what a great update! Thank you for thinking about others who might have just received a diagnosis of cervical cancer, but your story is one of hope for anyone with a cancer diagnosis, so thank you for sharing, & caring 😊

Thank you both, it has been an incredibly difficult journey but Im so pleased to be able to say my scan are clear. If my cancer journey / experience and my NHS managerial experience can help anyone whatsoever, I'd be thrilled.
