When would the 3 month assessment period be from? LCWRA

Hi, can anyone help. I first provided fit note back in 13th December 2024 (self cert for the previous 7 days). I received notification on 23rd May 2025 that I had been awarded LCWRA. When would the 3 month assessment period of been from? and any idea how long will it take to receive my first payment and any back payment I might be owed.
Thanks

What date did you report the health condition?
What is your Assessment Period date or payment date please?
Do you have Transitional Protection on your claim, or claim with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves?

Hi,
I finished work on the 5th December 2024, and notified UC that I was unable to work on the 6th December, I had to self cert for first 7 days so first fit note was from 13th December.
My payment date is 11th of each month with it covering the 5th of one month to 4th of the next, not sure about assessment period - I received notification capability assessment form mid March (had to return by 02.04.2025); had my telephone consultation on 20th May and received notification that I had been awarded it end of the same week.
I don't have any protection (not sure what that is as this is the first time I have had to go through all this) and I live alone so no partner.

My estimate of your waiting period would be:
December/January: Partial Assessment Period, not included for waiting period.
January/February: AP 1
February/March: AP 2
March/April: AP 3
April/May: Eligible for LCWRA element
11th May: First LCWRA element paid.
Up until today one month LCWRA element owed.
If it's not on your next statement, two months will be owed.
Even though you've had the decision, UC need time to process before LCWRA is added to your monthly payment, and backpay calculated.
Money owed is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know this has been done when a letter is added to your Journal confirming the amount they owe you.
You'll then receive the money into your bank account several working days later.

That is great, thank you so much for your help as it was quite confusing on sites as to when assessment started etc.

Hi,
I have had my UC payment and it does have the LCWRA element added, so am guessing I am now only due one month back pay??? I have yet to receive any letter concerning this added to my journal but guessing this may take a little longer to process??
