Waiting For PIP Review

Hi, my current PIP award is due to expire, I was sent a review form in November which I completed and returned. The last communication I received from DWP was on 17th March to say that they will be progressing with my claim soon and that I may still need an assessment which is all fine but my blue badge expires on 11th July and I can’t apply for a new one until my review is complete, not sure how I’ll cope without my blue badge?

    Hi @carolep62, could you perhaps contact the council to see if there's anything they can do?

    Each council has slightly different rules around issuing Blue Badges, but it might be that they can help you find a way to keep it going or find an alternative way of assessing your mobility while you wait for your PIP review to come through.

    Hopefully they can find a solution that means you won't have to go without it.
