Pip decision text

Hello I've been on pip for three years I've filled in a form for a review last October, then this April got a letter saying they have extended my pip till next May 2026. This morning I got a text message saying my pip review is complete I will receive a letter in the post in the next 2 weeks, do not call us until you have the letter. I'm due to be paid pip money tomorrow 5/6/25, will I still get this if they have stopped my money?
Kind regards

PIP is paid a month in arrears so yes you should get a payment. Even if it's stopped or reduced there should be something owing still.

Hi I just signed up as I got this same text today.
- I filled out a review form last year
- I haven't been reassessed
- I'm worried and this is actually affecting me now as I have to wait two weeks

Spiderflower, I know the feeling. I can't think straight now, I feel sick to the stomach with worry. I've not had a phone call assessment or f2f assessment either. You hear of people horror stories. Why can't they have an on line account so you can see things on that instantly. Fingers crossed you still get pip.

I know how you feel and they are dealing with people with needs and they do this, I won't sleep at all now.

Despite what the text says you can ring them and ask - but they won't always give out the information over the phone.

@spiderflower I totally agree with you, the wording is very frightening isn't it, need a better way of wording and quicker delivery of such news

They can easily say it's been awarded again, or, use words that don't make it feel daunting. The whole system needs an app or a login, much easier. At least we know, but how many others won't? And they will save time of people calling to find out by having it accessible online.

I sent mine off November had a letter couple of weeks ago to say been extended to June 2026 still waiting but if they are on Octobers reviews then I’m more so worried mine won’t be much longer maybe, glad you got extended and hopefully now can relax, fingers crossed for me 🤞

Mine was extended for a short period under review and today was extended for 3 years, so dont panic, it doesn't mean it's bad news.
