LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.
What date did you report the health condition?
What date did you give UC the first Fit Note?
What is your Assessment Period date or payment date please?
Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves?
Do you receive any Transitional Protection?

I can't advise correctly without the correct information, please clarify:
What date was the health condition reported?
What date did you provide the Fit Note to UC?

19th Feb 2024

Thank you, I was confused when you later said 19th May.
That was a long wait for a WCA.
My estimate of your waiting period:
February/March: Partial Assessment Period not counted for waiting period
March/April: AP 1
April/May: AP 2
May/June: AP 3
June/July: Eligible for LCWRA element
July 11th 2024: First LCWRA element paid.
Even though you've received the decision, UC need time to process before LCWRA is added to your monthly payment, and backpay calculated.
Up until today I make that 12 months LCWRA element owed.
Money owed is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know this has been done when a letter is added to your Journal confirming the amount they owe you. New statements will be added alongside the previous versions.
You'll then receive the money into your bank account several working days later.

I’m sorry for so many questions I’m just new to all this.

Do you receive Carers Element under UC, and/or Carers Allowance?
0 -
I get 83 a week but they take that off my uc payments every month.
0 -
The £83 a week Carers Allowance will continue as normal. The deduction from UC is correct.
If you get Carers Element under UC (£200 odd a month), this will end and be replaced by LCWRA.

£360.97 they take off my uc
0 -
Yes that's correct.
When you applied for UC did you report being a carer?
If so you should have had Carers Element added to your UC award (£200 odd currently).

thanks Kim I really appreciate your time explaining this.

I just looked and yea I was given the carers £200 will I be worse off
0 -
No you won't be worse off, the Carers Element will be removed (-200) and the LCWRA added (+423).
So you will be £223 better off per month.
