Universal Credit review harassment.

I live alone and am just a few months off State Retirement, crippled with arthritis from top to toe and had/having many joints replaced. Immunocompromised and also treatment for cancer. In receipt of PIP (both components ) and have a blue badge as can only walk a few feet.

Have lost six years salary because of my poor health.

I was asked for 4 months of bank statements and id. a few weeks ago. Haven’t sent them as a gross invasion of privacy even though I have nothing to hide.

They messaged in my journal a few days ago to say they are arranging a home visit.

I am immunocompromised and do not want a stranger coming into my home putting me at further risk as I have an operation in July. I don’t have visitors apart from medical staff or immediate family and don’t go anywhere except medical appointments.

I messaged back and asked why I am having a home visit and have had no reply.

I feel like I am being harassed and bullied quite frankly.

    Millions of these reviews are being done. You aren't being singled out.

    They have booked a home visit to complete the review as the bank statements weren't uploaded.

    I can understand why you don't want to do it, but it's the same for millions of claimants.

    They are doing lots of these reviews at random, I sympathise because I've been through one myself they are intrusive, but necessary if you want to receive Universal Credit payments.

    They've likely booked a home visit because you've not responded or provided what they need. I see they requested this information a few months ago.

    I'm sure you can cancel the home visit and conduct the check instead by uploading the documents and having the interview by phone.
