AET AND TRANSITIONAL PROTECTION

Hi.

we migrated from tax credits in march 2024 and were under transitional protection for 12 months. however my earnings were below the aet for 3 months and i had to redeclare our savings etc. which i did and UC was reinstated as they sent a letter via journal stating they had made a mistake as the savings disregard had been lifted incorrectly. my wife has also been awarded LCWRA which was backdated to june 2024.

i have received a letter via my journal that i need to pay back UC from august 2024 as my earnings were below the aet for 3 consecutive months and they took my savings/in vestments into account.

they should have told me in october 2024 that i would be entitles to UC but instead they sent me a letter stating that my savings/investments were incorrectly taken into account and reinstated my claim.

i dont know what to do
