Permitted work
Hi, looking for some advice. I’ve been new style ESA for a few years. It’s contributions based and I’m support group so no work required. I want to start selling my art online. I want everything to be above board including registering as a business. The issue is I don’t think I’ll make a lot of money to begin with and can’t afford to live without my ESA. What do I do? If I inform them will I lose my benefit? Will I be reassessed? I can’t find much online about this. All info seems to be around UC which I don’t get.

Hi @jazzy86 - & welcome to the community. Here's all the info from the Govt's website that you need:
As you'll see your ESA won't be affected so long as you earn no more than £195.50 a week, & the work you do is for less than 16 hours a week. This won't make you more likely to have an assessment either. Good luck with your business venture.
