Confused over payments

Can anyone clarify what I should be expecting in payments please?

I have been put on the support group for ESA (£140.55 pw) and also have LCWRA component of £423.27 pm.

I just received my first statement on the new rates.

I was expecting the £423 to be split over 2 payments, but for some reason my ESA was deducted - they have put £609.05 as the figure, which I don't understand how they got in the qualifying period - part of which in the qualifying period was the standard weekly rate on assesment, £92.

So now I will be getting 2 payments of £107. I was expecting £211 every two weeks from LCWRA and £281 every two weeks from ESA Support Group.

Am wrong in assuming LCWRA is not affected by ESA Support Group or has a mistake being made? Should I be getting £492 per fortnight/ £246 per week? I would call the helpline, but I am absolutely exhausted trying to deal with them as there have been so many mess ups with my payments over the last few months, and no 2 people tell me the same thing.

I'm sorry I don't have any answers for you, @tartantrews.

I do, however, feel your pain. I'm attempting to support someone through managed migration, and every single day it's another letter (online via journal) contradicting the previous letter.

I could literally scream when I see a UC notification in the person's email.

    Good luck. x

If you are in receipt of New Style ESA and are in the support group then you should receive £281.10 every two weeks. If you are receiving Universal Credit then this is deducted £ for £ from your UC. As UC is paid monthly and there are 12 months in a year so the deduction for your ESA is calculated by multiplying the weekly rate of your ESA which is £140.55 by the number of weeks in the year and then dividing this by the number of months in a year which is 12. This is how they arrive at the figure of £609.05. If you can post a breakdown of your UC payment I may be able to advise you further.
