What should I expect from change of circumstance

Hi all.

Just joined the community, tho been using the advice you provide others right from start of my pip journey....so thanks for that!

I'm on full motability due to complex PTSD and anxiety due to historic sustained SA. Which result in unbidden disassociative flashbacks or waves of anxiety and strong depression. Which has resulted in moments of very dark thoughts.

I've recently put in for a change of circumstance, as my living situation has changed and condition becoming worse (more unpredictable and also effecting home life). Mainly down to outside influences and stress bringing in on.

I have alot of anxiety building over this.

I recently sent back my forms and very quickly got a message to say it was received and will be looked at. But I am wondering how long it takes, the likelihood of it effecting my award.

I'm also scared that they will take it away completely...which will massively effect my condition.

As mentioned above my condition has been getting stronger, is effecting my capability to work, I have to now sleep in a separate room to my partner due to me waking her up either when having a night terror or when I can't sleep...which is often, and I even get this on sleep medication.

Also I have been getting worsening migraines, one of which resulted in a hospital visit...as it was significant enough that they initially thought I was having a stroke....and I'm only 37.

I am hoping that I can get advice or at least someone to balm my nerves and anxiety. And I know it's likely "how long is a price of string".

P.s sorry for the essay 😅, I feel honesty is best policy in life, that and I'm very well known for verbal diarrhea haha

With a Change of Circumstances your whole claim will be looked at again. The DWP may want to assess you again too. Your award may go up, stay the same or go down. Change of Circumstances are usually completed fairly quick, quicker than a normal review.

As an update : just got the "review is complete'

Which was very fast, no assessment or further calls

Now incredibly anxious and doesn't help that it says they will not tell me the decision over phone
