Hi @mohK - I'm sorry this has happened. The following website, tho about a PIP claim, should still be helpful as far as looking at where he might need help (even if he doesn't get help), & what form that might take:
Do put his MR in writing; a letter is fine.
Remember PIP is not about any diagnosis, but rather how your disability affects certain activities of daily living &/mobility the majority of the time.
With a MR you should say where you think he should have got points, & why giving a couple of recent, detailed examples as to the difficulty he faces for each applicable descriptor, i.e. when did it happen, where, what happened, did anyone see this, & were there any consequences to attempting/doing an activity?
Say if he can't do an activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat as often as one would reasonably expect, or if it takes him much longer than someone without a disability.
Put his name & National Insurance number on each page. Keep a copy, & get a free Certificate of Posting from the Post Office when sending it off.

Hi @mohK it might be worth reaching out to either Citizens Advice or Turn2us who have specialists who will likely be able to support you through completing this documentation. The two links I've shared take you to the mandatory reconsideration pages specifically for both organisations but you can contact both parties to arrange an appointment for some additional support.
We also have a page that might be helpful - Appealing a benefits decision | Disability charity Scope UK
I hope everything goes in your favour. Please keep us updated if you're happy to.

Thank you. Can we ask for more time? As his mental health practioner is next week and also instead of appealing Mr, when can we reapply for PIP?

Hi @mohK, typically they're quite tight on the deadlines however there are circumstances where they'll allow more time and I think you might fit these. It's definitely worth reaching out and asking the question, you've nothing to lose. But I'd keep working towards the deadline in the meantime in case this doesn't get approved.

when can we reapply for pip? Once rejected?
we do need someone to help us with the form his medication has been changed again.0 -
Hi @mohK - you can apply at any time now for PIP again, but then your brother would have to complete a new claim form, likely have another assessment, etc, so it's faster to go for a MR.
Just ring the PIP enquiry line to ask for an extension of his MR: 0800 121 4433 but Holly's advice is sound, to start thinking about how you'd write a MR. Please don't request this to be done over the phone, it's much better in writing.
