claiming my taxi fares back

i have a bus pass but often i get a taxi to my mother in laws house. can i claim the money back? i have ms and find it hard to walk to a bus stop. i am not lazy and i have lost 5 stone. what do i have to do to claim the money back? who do i ring?

    Hello, have you tried using a walker or wheelchair to reach the bus stop so you can travel for free?

    PIP has a Mobility Component specifically to cover things like taxi fares. If you are not already receiving PIP, it would be worth looking into that.

    If you get PIP Mobility, you can spend it on anything you like. Though it was mainly designed to cover additional transport costs.

    Yes. Pip mobility covers taxis and private car costs irrespective of where you're going and why. You can spend it on anything but there's no alternative benefit for getting out and about. Taxi fares are huge, I know.
