Me? Yeah, just nipped out for a quick half marathon before lunch 😄

For 'funsies' 🤣 Not my best time, but oh boy! was it hot out today 🌞
So I've got home, fed the cat, fed myself and showered. Look at the state my hands were in, and that was with gloves 😄
This is what I had for lunch, proper athlete fuel 🤣🤣
Plus a protein shake.
Now I only took a couple of photos because this was purely for exercise and not adventuring, but I'd have felt guilty if I didn't take any at all 😊
Hope everyone is having a lovely day ❤️
Note: I can do a thread on tips and advice for endurance wheelchairing if anyone is interested. There's more to it than just pushing a lot 😄💪👨🦽

Doing distance in my chair is one of my favourite things. I also do full marathon distance (also for fun) but not in this heat 🌞🤣. I'm planning to do 46 miles on my 46th birthday next month.
I'm nothing special, just have a lot of determination (brute force and ignorance as we say in the North-East 🤣).
Usual disclaimer: I know all disabilities are different. But, I hope my determination helps to show other wheelchair users, especially new chair users what is possible. Hopefully open up their world.

Hi Wheeled Weapon,
Congratulations! You are amazing! Hope you are successful with you wheeled 46 Miles!
One again, brilliant photos! Not surprised you were hot after doing that distance. It would be great to know how much of an impact you have made in trying to get other wheelchair how your determination enables you to live (what sounds like) a full and interesting life. I hope it does encourage others to use their wheelchairs to explore but also encourage those 'new' to wheelchair use but also inspire those (like a friend) who are either too 'anxious' or (worse still) allow their own 'pride' (for want of a better word!) to accept that they can remain quite independent with a wheelchair (or motorised scooter) if they wished to!
