in Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)

Hi, Iv just filled in my esa50 form & had the last page filled in by the doctor as I’m a cancer patient , Does having this filled in & signed by my doctor have any bearing on if I will still have to have a work capacity assessment, as my doctor has put I’m not fit for any work , hope I don’t have to have the dreaded assessment, many thanks and wishing everyone well

    You will assessed either by phone, face to face or paper based.

    You can request paper based but its at their discretion.

    thank you for your reply , I was hoping it would of just been paper based anyway been as though page 24 about my cancer diagnosis & treatment was filled in and signed by my doctor , I suppose I’ll just wait and see what happens, is there a time frame from when they received my form to either an easement date or a decision, thanks again for your response

    I think it's 6 weeks at the moment but don't quote me on that because I'm not 100% sure
