Are people having cancer treatment guaranteed LCWRA?

I just saw someone on another website say this. But this hasn't been my experience. Does it matter what kind of cancer you have? If this is true then surely I would be guaranteed LCWRA forever, as I'll be having treatment forever? I had thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed so now I have to take thyroxine forever, both to do the job the thyroid would have been doing, and at a higher than usual dose to prevent the cancer from coming back.

Hey @Aella Unfortunately the DWP class cancer treatment as either chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Longer term 'after the event' medications do not count, unless there are side effects that would stop you working. In which case you would still need to have a WCA to show you're unfit for work.
