also on the letter it doesnt mention ados but says ACIA ASSESSMENT. i cant find much information online about this has anyone got information on it. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Morning @shrinkydink. That's good news you've got a date although I can appreciate that's causing some anxiety now. Is this for the care assessment you've mentioned previously?

I've also found a site with a bit of information on the ACIA which might be helpful. I've not experienced this myself so unfortunately, don't have much knowledge on what happens but hopefully this helps a little:

thankyou its for my autism assessment, im still waiting for the care act assessment. i wonder if its similar to the ados. there is only basic info online about acia and it doesnt give much away. make things alot harder not knowing what to expect on the day.

Glad it's finally your turn @shrinkydink the wait is so frustrating!
My assessment was held via an online call, with video. It was me and one assessor. Just a combo of asking about my childhood and giving me various scenarios and how I'd feel about them. It wasn't scary at all, but I'd definitely suggest going to the loo beforehand as it can take a while. 😆

thankyou, its funny how you wait years struggling, waiting for the assessment and when it gets nearer you start to panic. mine is with a clinical psychologist and an assistant psychologist. is it normal to have two professionals doing the assessment
