Hi, my name is tucker1986! PIP award has been reduced.

Hi my name is Terry i and was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was a young child and suffered with it until I was 12 then they were stopped by medication from the nhs. Then they were triggered again when I was 19 due to a assault from a group of lads who used my head for a football. I was receiving pip but it was cut from 500 a month to 300 because I failed a assessment due to saying I dont require help with bathing because the types of seizures I was having changed from tonic clonic seizures to focal seizures and it wasn't safe for me to bath alone with a personal assistant outside the bathroom because of the risk of drowning. I also failed my assessment on not needing assistance with cooking meals due to me telling them that I had bought a airfryer instead of having a cooker so there was no risk of a fire when cooking alone. Because I can put a meal in it and the fryer will turn itself off due it having a timer on it.

Hey @tucker1986 and a warm welcome to the community.
Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself, but I'm so sorry to hear they cut your PIP award. Did you ask for a MR at all? And how long ago was your review? You may still be able to appeal the decision.0
