Good morning, I had my assessment by telephone and I was really surprised that I wasn't asked many questions and it was over in 20 mins which after having assessments previously taking a lot longer its actually made me even more anxious is this a new thing were telephone assessments are shorter or does it just depend on your assessor's view during the appointment? 🤔

    Hi,

If they already have previous evidence of long term conditions that easily fit into one of the boxes on the WCA form then it should be fairly easy for them to award from a WCA.

It's not the same as the PIP assessment which often needs to be longer to get points in various descriptors to add up to a whole award.

If the assessor feels you meet one of the criteria to qualify you for LCW/LCWRA, then there is no need to carry on with the assessment as it would be a waste of time all round.

You only need one box to tick so to speak to qualify, so pointless carrying on with the assessment after that.
