Wet and Happy ๐

Another ten miles completed today. It rained lightly for the first mile, stopped and then rained heavily for the last 4 miles. A bloke in a van even stopped and offered me a lift when I was a mile from home. I think he thought I was nuts when I told him thanks, but I love this ๐
And I do. When the rain had stopped it felt like I was breathing steam. I was so happy when it started raining again. Plus the heavy rain made my gym top cling to me and show off my muscles ๐ช๐คฃ
I took a few photos when it wasn't raining, just because I know you like them. I even saw a deer. I couldn't get a photo (peeling the gloves off and getting phone out of pocket takes a minute) but I'm quite used to seeing deer anyway, I was brought up quite rural.
Wheelchair cushion is going in the tumble dryer for a bit ๐
Today's music choices were Primus and The Prodigy. I'm glad my super expensive Bose earbuds were as water resistant as they claimed ๐

On days like this I find rain refreshing and cooling. Grrreat!
The Prodigy (etc) is marvellous music to exercise to, too.
I'm pleased you're enjoying it

It's one of the nicest feelings, warm rain. As I returned to civilisation I saw all these bedraggled, miserable looking people, and there's me bombing along with a smile on my face ๐คฃ
(Definitely must be nice because I'm not usually a smiley person).

Always enjoy seeing your photos @Wheeled_Weapon, they're always so peaceful and green๐Was there that lush smell when it rains for the first time after the sun?

A bit, but my ten mile route is always so fragrant with all the wild flowers.

#Wheeled Weapon,
You are quite amazing, 10 miles, I wouldn't last probably even 1 mile, never have been a 'fit'/ exercise type of individual, although, I used to enjoy woodland forest walks but never that far! Nowadays, I have difficulty walking very far at all and need my walking stick unfortunately, it has become a more permanent 'fixture' due to the arthritic knees, foot , shoulder and degenerative lumbar spine.
I'm sure that the rain was welcome respite from the other end of the scale very hot weather. Just don't catch a cold. I guess the guy in the van probably thought it a bit unusual for someone to turn down the offer of a lift but I think I get your reasoning.
Once again thank you for the wonderful photos. I think I spotted Llama in the field? I take it back, second look they are sheep!
Pleased for you to get out and about. Where to tomorrow? Me? I lead a fairly quiet life of sorts, my traits don't lend themselves to lots of people or noise, instead, I manage a couple of voluntary 'jobs' that keep me occupied. I know that sounds weird but I volunteer at a lunch club (mostly for 'older' people(older than me that is!) I 'help in the kitchen, so my contact with Club members is limited and at a pace I can cope with. Once or twice a month I help 'run' a small Church Cafe, where most of the visitors I know and they 'trickle' in so I'm not faced with lots of people all at once! Plus, I serve from a hatch, so less direct contact. Don't ask, I have no idea why it is like this but I've always been 'shy' and never coped with loud noises or loads of people. That's why I virtually never attended work gatherings like Christmas or Leaving do's. Lots of people have told me how 'boring' I am! Each to our own! I probably am very boring but at least I make some effort to be around others plus it's in my nature to want to 'help' others, which doesn't quite 'fit' but there you are!
Have a great adventure tomorrow, I might get to have coffee with a friend that I've not seen in a while and she doesn't get out much either.

Cheers WheeledWeapon, you've helped encourage me to follow your lead.
I'm currently in my back garden (see photo) enjoying the fairly light rain not far from you.
I'm improvising around the exercise theme you suggested by drinking first a delightful cider and now an exceptional whisky, and I'm mostly sitting still. But I'm enjoying it and that's good for me, thanks.
I've always most found it sweet when people offer to help me getting around. It can be helpful (I couldn't count the number of flights of stairs I've been carried up and down) and I was once able-bodied and I hope I might have offered.
Figraspberry41 I suggest that another joyful thing about rain on warm days is that I'm comfortable remaining here although the rain has got rather wetter, because I know that when it stops (which coincidentally it did right now) my shirt and trousers will be dry in half an hour. It'll fix itself! I like it when life makes itself easier. And I like being warm. I'm winning all the way here. I also can't access a shower or bath if that matters, it doesn't to me.
Good luck all

An exceptional whisky sounds like a damn fine idea, Lff.

Large Form Factor or Lesser Feasts and Fasts please Ranald?
Is that physics or ecclesiastical? Sorry, I'm not up with all dem acronyms wot dem youf talk! ๐
Said beverage has helped me think through all sorts of things, and it's doing so right now. But they don't pay me to advertise them and I'm not {removed by moderator - uncivil} but I once worked in advertising.
Have a nice evening, please

Pour one for me please, I don't take ice or water.
I like Glenfarclas 10yo btw;-)

'Lff' - Littlefatfriend? Ha ha.

Whisky shouldn't be polluted Ranald, I agree wholeheartedly.
Sorry this is the nerd in me. Above when I wrote the singular "****" it appears to have been automatically edited into ****. Then when I wrote the plural {removed by moderator - uncivil} it wasn't.
I simply must see if it does so again, sorry

@Ranald I'm quite partial to Aberfeldy.
1 -
Not sure if i've ever experienced Aberfeldy, WW, but i have been to the town many times over the years.
Robert Burns wrote 'The Birks (birch trees) of Aberfeldy' after walking near the Falls of Moness on a Highland tour. I bet you would enjoy the challenge in your active chair, following the path. There would have been no such luxury for Burns in 1787!

Hi @Littlefatfriend I've just seen your comment about not having access to a bath or shower - that's not ideal. Is this a temporary problem?
