Hey hello

Hey there. Im new. Been in a rutt for a bit so figured I'd try reaching out rather than shrinking in.
I have suffered ME/CFS and Fibro since 2018 following a severe mental breakdown in 2014. I've had to learn who I am now as a person and learn a new way of life. I can't seem to get to a stage where Im at least afloat when I have a crash. So I'm literally playing catchup in life and never reaching a baseline for reset.
Anyhoo. I have a wonderful dog and cat, they both are my anchors in life. As challenging as it can be to care for them when I'm crashed they help me want to get out of bed in a morning.
Hoping to meet some likeminded folks here who get it without me using energy to explain XD

Hi @Jacsta and a warm welcome to the community from me!
Thank you for telling us a bit yourself! We love animals on this community and lots of members have dogs and cats, what breeds are they?
I definelty understand what you mean about them being an anchor, I have a little senior bichon and he provides so much structure😄
What sort of things do you like to do for fun?0 -
Tez is a scottish terrier. I got he is 8 now and been with me since a pup. He still thinks he is a pup too! He does forgive and just lay in bed on bad days though so amazing really.
I spend most of my time on my computer…I play elder scrolls online and the sims for fun. Also audio books are my saviour as can listen to good books even if im laying in bed.
Thanks for the welcome @Mary_Scope . I hope you have a good Tuesday…I'm off to tackle having a shower

Good morning @Jacsta do you have a picture of your dog?
That was Gus before he was fully grown

These are my animals. Cara is just over 1 now. Was surprisingly easy to get them both to get along

The Scottish Terrier, the only breed of dog that has ever bitten me! Lol.
That's good the pair of them get along, Gus would never suffer a cat near him.

Oh no! Tez is so friendly. Barks like he is a mean guard dog, then you open the door to love and a tornado of excitement.
Gus looks like he is a softy. Bet he gives good hugs

Soft with people, can't be with other animals, and yes, he loves to love.
