PIP FTT Appeal

Today 17/07/2025 I was assessed at Centre 70 for my PIP daily living appeal to the FTT. This was because the DWP refused my Mandatory Reconsideration letter from Citizen Advice Merton and Lambeth. They gave me points for washing & bathing 2 points, eating & drinking 2 points, communicating 2 points, and also engaging with other people 4 points. They said I scored 10 points and will be entitled to the standard rate for the daily living component. This is because I uses a false teeth due to my front and back teeths damage due a assault I had on 04/08/2014. I have submitted the medical letters from my G.P and Consultant Psychiatrist to show about how my condition affects my daily living. The DWP has contacted me today and they said I will hear from them by 14/08/2025.

Unless they were fitted due to a specific medical illness, then no @alasalaamaa

You may be aided in chewing by the use of dentures. But it’s not a given that anyone using dentures is using them as an aid!

I applied for PIP on 02/02/2021 and my application was refused. I then applied for Mandatory reconsideration by myself and my appeal was refused. I then again appeal to the FTT and my appeal was refused. I then appealed to the UT and my Appeal was refused and the UT said I don't satisfied their procedure to set aside a decision. They said I satisfied the FTT procedure to set aside a decision and they are not the one to educate the FTT about how to set aside their decision. I then went to SWLLC to help me to appeal to the Court of Appeals and they said I have to pay £3000 to take my case further or else I made a new application. Since I can't afford the money they are asking for, I then decided to make a new application on 27/07/2024. They helped me to make the application and it was refused on 01/11/2024. I then contacted CAML who wrote a Mandatory Reconsideration letter on my behalf. The DWP then contacted me on 13/01/2025 and said they are looking into my application. They then contacted me on 11/02/2025 and said I should not contacted them within 15 weeks and I will hear from them by 28/04/2025. I never heard from them by 28/04/2025 and I then contacted them on 29/04/2025 and they said they have sent out a reply on 26/02/2025. I said I never received it and they then sent another letter which I received. I then contacted CAML who linked me up with Centre 70 who have appealed on my behalf to the FTT. They said I scored 2 points for washing & bathing, eating & drinking, communicating, and also 4 points for engaging with other people face to face. They said I used a false teeth which is a prosthetic aid. So they said I scored 10 points which entitled me to the standard rate of the daily living component. If the DWP accepts my entitlement to PIP now, why they never accepted my first application on 02/02/2021. Will they backdate my application to 02/02/2021.

On 04/08)2014 I was assaulted and my lower Jawbone was fractured and I lost some front and back teeths. I was given false teeth to aid my eating, drinking and communication. Since then I have been using it until I have the money to get dental implants. So this is a prosthetic aid given to me by the NHS
