Pip - Decision was made last Tuesday, no text or letter received. Have I been turned down?

Hi please can someone help. I have applied for pip. I have had my assessment. I foned up for a update. The decision was made last Tuesday. Had no text and still no letter. I've not received any backdated money at the moment. Does it mean I haven't been awarded pip. The guy who answered the fone. Couldn't tell me if I have been awarded pip.
Thank you

Hi @tickie, it's really difficult to say, but it doesn't necessarily mean you haven't been awarded anything. Sometimes they'll give away information on the phones and other times they wont.
The waiting is horrible but I hope your letter arrives soon so you can have some clarity on the situation. Fingers crossed it's a good result for you 🤞

Hi Rosie thank you. When I asked the guy. He said he couldn't tell me he said it could be a good thing or a bad thing. And if the money goes in my account. It's a good thing

As Rosie has said, the DWP usually don't give out the decision result over the phone. The decision letter normally takes 2 Weeks. Backdated money is normally paid first. It does not mean you have not been awarded if you have not heard anything currently.

Hi thank you. I received my letter today. I've not been awarded pip. I've asked them to look at my claim again. As they was things on there I didn't get asked

Sorry to hear that @tickie many people don't get awarded PIP without a fight unfortunately. We usually suggest asking for a copy of the assessors notes, then applying for a mandatory reconsideration in writing, as asking over the phone runs the risk of the call operator taking down information wrong. But not a worry!
We'll keep our fingers crossed, will you let us know how you get on please?
