Pip review completed text

hi I’ve currently been going through my pip review. Yesterday morning I got the pip review completed text, so I tried the automated payment line and it said I would be paid £158 on the 29. I decided to call pip this morning and he said that the system hasn’t been updated. Could it be possible that the automated payment line was incorrect? I have severe anxiety and this whole process has been extremely stressful. Thank you

Heya @kaisercheef and welcome to the community!
The automated line is notoriously bad for giving up to date numbers, so please try not to worry too much there!0 -
thanks for your reply, I called the pip helpline again today and was told my pip renewal wasn’t successful,

Sorry to hear that @kaisercheef, do you think you'll be appealing the decision?
0 -
yes I’m definitely going to appeal, I honestly feel sick to the stomach. The money helped to keep my bills and needs in check. Does anyone know if you get any money while appealing?

That's understandable @kaisercheef it's not an easy thing to go through, I hope you're doing okay in the circumstances.
Were you awarded anything at all? Or did they decide not to renew any of your claim? Unfortunately, if the decision was not to award any PIP at all then your PIP will usually be stopped until another decision is made.
There's some advice on appeals here if you'd like to read about it:

But if you'd like some more personal advice on your appeal, it may be worth speaking to a local benefits adviser. Turn2Us - AdviceFinder has a search tool to find someone local to you.

Wait until the decision letter arrives and you know the result for certain. If you have been unsuccessful definitely appeal with the Mandatory Reconsideration first. Best of luck!

thank you for your reply’s , I got my rejection letter, all I got was 2 points for mixing with other people,

That's a shame @kaisercheef, sorry to hear that. Are you still moving forward with the mandatory reconsideration? It'll need to be submitted within one month of the date on the rejection letter. Please let us know how things progress.

100% I’m going for a mandatory reconsideration, the explanation on why they didn’t give me points for certain things is simply not fair.

I don't blame you @kaisercheef. I wish you the best for the process. Just sorry you're having to go through it.

It happens a lot unfortunately. Put your Mandatory Reconsideration in writing, if you call PIP, they may do it over the phone and you don't know what has been written down. Let them know why you deserve the points that have not been given to you, explaining your difficulties per descriptor. Actual examples of when you tried to do those tasks and what happened is good too. I know it is stressful but do a bit at a time and hope all goes well!

thanks everyone for your support and advice, I’ve just received my assessment report, and my GP told them I suffer with chronic anxiety and depression. This was not mentioned in the decision letter.
