    Episodes 1 and 2 were job centre-focused and very funny. Mandy and the work coach sketches and scripts are hilarious. She is insolent, swears, and behaves impossibly badly in the job centre but nothing fazes the work coach.

    Philomena Cunk was her previous incarnation in the Cunk series produced by Charlie Brooker.

    edit; surfygoose, I hadn't seen your post and I don't think I've seen Motherland but will look out for it (I can only watch live TV)

    Oh yes I did. I didn’t think I would like it because I would miss the other Motherland characters too much, but actually I really enjoyed it. Plus I always loved Anne.

    I felt exactly the same so it really exceeded my expectations😁 Anne was fantastic in it @surfygoose!! I thought Joanna Lumley did a great job too

    I don't know if it's the same program but a comedy was on our TV a couple of years ago and it followed an unemployed woman. I seem to remember she mentioned to the job coach something about cleaning a neighbour's windows for a tenner and the job coach grilled her as to whether she'd declared the earnings, then went on to something to do with the legality of stepladders she used… it was quite good as it kind of made a mockery of the bad examples of people on both sides of the system

    Mandy is absolutely hilarious!!

    Just finished watching the new season and can't wait for the next one!!

    My favourite so far was when her friend used the last of the minty pig nail polish and Mandy did the "YOU'RE DEAD TO MEEEEE" in the creepy voice lol 😆

    Yes, though I don't know everyone's name. Anne in Motherland gave me the most belly laughs! Brilliant acting.

    66Mustang, yes, that could be Mandy. She rolls her eyes a lot and says things I can only dream of saying! Here is my reality;

    Me "Hello, are you …?"

    WC "No, I'm not. Wait over there."

    I pronounced her name as the security guard who led me to her did. I never saw her again. 😅

    I was very confused when people mentioned her in Motherland, then I realised you were all talking about the British comedy, not the American witchy series (which is also very good.) I am having a slow day today. 😆
