does anyone know? ........
Hi, I would like to ask you, in recent months the news has been headlined several times, saying that the government is helping. They talked about hundreds of pounds each time. They have repeatedly emphasized that those who have been receiving UC for a long time do not have to apply, do not have to apply, the money goes into the accounts automatically. What happened, why did they not give the money, does anyone know? Esther

I saw one of those clickbait sites advising claimants will receive a surprise payment in August. 🙄
I took one for the team, and clicked. It was about people being paid on the Friday rather than the Monday of the Bank Holiday.
You're welcome! 😛

Hi @Esther0, as others have said, unfortunately there is a lot of false and misleading information out there at the moment. There are no cost of living payments planned and there aren't any other extra payments planned for people on benefits either.
Often these sites rely on people clicking to make money from adverts and things, it's very sneaky.
