Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help, I've been signed off work since February 2025 due to serve PTSD, anxiety and depression.

I've just had my WCA on the phone, at the end the assessor said to me, please don't be worrying about this as in saying in my report that your unfit for work, has anyone else had this said to them or is it something they just say at the end off the calls.

Thanks any advice is much appreciated

@Peggy0011 You cannot read into anything, what these assessors say as they will and just say anything just be polite and a certain amount is about pacifying claimants.

All you can do is wait and see what the decision will be I'm afraid. Wishing you good luck👍

Hi @Peggy0011, well done for getting through the WCA, they can be pretty stressful! As Government_needs_reform mentioned, it's often difficult to rely completely on what the assessors say on the calls as it's the decision makers that make the final decision. Hopefully that's a good indication of what the assessor will be putting forward for consideration though.

Fingers crossed the result comes through soon and you get the decision you're hoping for ☺️

I'd be feeling cautiously hopeful if i heard that. I always record my calls, so if they said that then sent in a bad report I'd use the recording of what they said at tribunal to show the report had been altered from her initial impressions of you. I think it sounds positive.

People read too much into the phrasing. It's just professional courtesy cliché. Doesn't mean anything at all and certainly wouldn't have any impact in a Mandatory Reconsideration.
