Has anyone ever experienced this?

Hey, how is everyone? 😊
I wanted to ask you about a few things:
I agreed with medical professionals (Spasticity team at my local hospital, my physiotherapist, my osteopath and my doctor) to start swimming. I have been swimming for the past month. Generally, I am a strong swimmer (I used to belong to a swimming club), but this past month I have been experiencing cramping in my right foot, my right foot turning inward, my back and arms hurting, and my hip too. Has anyone ever experienced this?
Does anyone else here have Acid Reflux?
Has anyone ever had a Gastroscopy? I am due to have one to have a closer look at my throat as I have been experiencing loss of my voice and hoarseness. This has been happening for a few weeks or so.
I am also experiencing pain and swelling in my ankle (right side - CP affected) more than what is normal for me, with pain in my Achilles' heel. I have been referred to get an ultrasound and had an X-ray done. Has anyone experienced pain in their Achilles' heel?
To clarify, I am getting medical guidance about these things, just wanted to see if anyone else has undergone any of these difficulties before.
Thank you for listening 😊

Hi lillymay88
I've had a gastroscopy.
It was useful at the time and no bother at all. Very straightforward, didn't take long.
It looks like you're doing the right things, good luck.

Heya @lillymay88 I hope you're doing ok today?
I've also had a gastroscopy, some people choose sedation for the procedure, but honestly it was totally fine, just a bit awkward for a few mins and you'll probably do a huge burp afterwards. 😆 I'm also on some meds for acid reflux due to a stomach issue and they do the job nicely, no changes in lifestyle were needed for me.
Best of luck with everything, I hope they can find a diagnosis quickly. 😁1 -
I've had a gastroscopy c.25 years ago and without sedation so I could cycle home after it was done. I didn't like the first few seconds when they're pushing the scope through (and when they took it out), but after that it wasn't too bad. I asked for the time it should take to complete the investigation and if they could give me a countdown to when it was finished; 10 minutes to go, 5 minute to go etc. for some reason this sort of thing helps me be more relaxed and accepting of what's happening and largely out of my control.
On the swimming. As you were in a club and probably did quite a lot of swimming, if you've had a long break and in your head then gone back to it thinking you're the same swimmer you may have overdone it. Similarly, this happened to me after a nine-year break of not cycling due to spinal problems and being very sedentary (and after previously been doing 100+ miles a week), even after a relatively short ride now a few hours after finishing I have a lot of pain in hip, upper back, shoulders, wrists as well as expected eith my main issue in my low back which caused me to stop cycling (and swimming) in the first place. I'm always debating with myself whether the enjoyment of going a bike ride is worth the after effects. Afterwards I use ice packs on the worst areas and also a massage chair which helps a little.
