Hi, my name is daveaustin! Below knee amputee, still feeling low and at a loss. Is this normal?
thank you for allowing me to join. I am an above the knee left leg amputee. It’s been over a year now and still feeling low and at a loss. Is this normal and how long will my mental state be so low, I am trying soo hard to adjust, - people saying you just got to re-invent yourself this is challenging for someone over 76 years old. Thank you for any input .

Hey there @daveaustin and a warm welcome to the community.
It can take a long time to adjust to such a big life changing event, but change does happen if you let it. I'd say age shouldn't come into it, like with many things in life, we can use age as an excuse for not doing something that's outside of our comfort zone. I know I've done it haha.
We're all about for chats and support if you need us. ❤️0
