Universal credit help! Change of DLA. Worried!

Hi everyone.

I recently did my daughters DLA renewal - it had the quickest turn around time and I got her new award within a month.

They increased the care component rate and I am overjoyed even though it’s definitely deserved.

I messaged UC straight away both in the journal and updated the DLA rates under people who live with me section.

Today I’ve had quite an abrupt message(from the jobcentre team!) saying I need to accept my commitments as I’ve had a change of circumstances or I’ll no longer be entitled to UC n won’t get paid?!

There’s no commitments to sign/read in my to do list.
I never had work commitments anyway as we were already on middle.

I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong? Can they just stop my UC because we’ve moved from mid to high?

I’ve messaged 3 times since to ask where the commitments are and if they can check they’ve sent them but getting no reply.

Extremely worried now.

Still no sign of any commitments to sign.
    I’ve been checking all day.

So worrying, I didn’t realise moving from high rate from middle could completely take away my UC - I rely on it so much as a full time carer - my daughter can no longer attend school so I’ve had to home educate and leave work too..

so worried right now, is it worth ringing them?

It seems like a mistake to me, as that change absolutely does not stop your UC award, and nothing has been added onto your To Do list.

You can ring them and request a call back from case manager, they'll be able to help more than the person answering the phone who is little more than a call centre worker reading off a screen.

Thank you, I’ll give them a ring tomorrow.

I only got her award letter on Friday so I updated it on Friday evening.

I worried I've done the wrong thing when updating but I literally only changed the DLA care component part from mid to high.

The message I received today was sent from Stockport jobcentre too when my communication usually comes from Preston.

His wording was really abrupt, accept your new commitments or you will no longer be entitled to universal credit or be paid.

And I have absolutely nothing in my to do list to sign.

This has completely stressed me out today after all the stress of the dla renewal I didn’t think universal credit would be the problem.
