Hi, my name is tracy54!

i’m looking for some information. I was driving a mobility car to pick up some medication for him , I will stop by the police as I am disqualified from driving and they seized the vehicle mobility of contacted him and now he is losing his vehicle. I think this is unfair as he was not aware that I didn’t have a license as I was not aware myself.
I need out to try and get him his mobility vehicle back as he depends on this for
Can you help?

How can you not realise your disqualified from driving? Also you wern't insured to drive the motobility car too. I don't think anything can be done as rules were broken, he should of never of loaned you his car under any circumstances so the fault lies with both of you.

I was not aware I’ve been very ill and was living with my mum. I was disqualified on the 16th of the month but did not receive any paperwork and the police even clarified that
I used his car to go and pick medication up for was not was disqualified until the police told me
I feel terrible that I have had his vehicle taken, but he did not know. I did not have a license at the time.

I was also insured to drive the vehicle previously and I was named on the policy as I was a former carer

Hi @tracy54 sorry to hear about these circumstances. Unfortunately you'd probably need to gain some proper legal advice if this is something you wish to dispute over the timing. You can sometimes get some initial legal support free with some organisations. Sorry we weren't able to provide more advice, but we don't have the legal knowledge.
