UC review bank statement harassment
Hi everyone.
PIP & ESA claimants
Please could those of you who feel/have been harassed & your health conditions made worse by the DWPs UC reviews demand for bank statements where you feel they have breached your data & your privacy rights please leave a comment below.
I have just been speaking to a lovely solicitor from Stetfords Solicitors who is willing to take on a class action against the DWP but she needs a group of us to go ahead on a conditional fee arrangement. (Only if the case is successful a fee applies) She is appalled at the harm being done to vulnerable people & wants to help.
You can also send me a personal message.
Thank you

Hi @TG0601, This looks like a really important issue to raise awareness of and it's great that you've found a solicitors willing to help fight against this.
Unfortunately as we are not legally trained, we can't promote legal activity or allow the sharing of personal details on the community, but there may be other platforms that you could spread the word on.
I wish you the very best of luck with your action, I hope you and everyone else involved get the result you're looking for ☺️
Just as a note for all members: Please be careful with the information you share on the community publicly and by private message. While most members of the community are genuine and have good intentions, please consider your safety as a priority and don't share information that could identify you.

Thanks Rosie. I’ve updated my MP too so hopefully he can spread the word amongst his colleagues.
The ICO will be investigating this again too, as I’ve raised a second complaint to them. Hopefully justice prevails. Thanks again.
