hi I am about to receive my state pension and we have been notified that we will lose my wife’s pension credit when that happens will I also lose rent and council tax benefit and if so can I make a new claim

hi and welcome to the forum unfortunately I am not an expert in this area but I can see how scary this can be but I would recommend that you visit the coffee lounge for a general chat or the games den for some fun.

You will need to update your existing claim with your new income, and yiur entitlement will be re calculated.
To do this contact your local council benefits department.
You can also try a benefits calculator to see if you are likely to be awarded HB & CTR.
