Andi12….hi. 59 doesn’t make you old! Wait until you get to late sixties mate. Even then I don’t think I’m old…it’s all in the mind. I take an interest in everything even if I don’t understand lots….don’t be afraid to ask younger people what they mean if you don’t understand everything. Life changes all the time…new phrases etc etc. But everyone needs help sometimes…just ask.

I hope i can be of support to others in this community. I am the product of surgery gone very wrong on the NHS. I popped in for a quick ileostomy, in 1 day and out the other, and when i came round, i was actually in a different year having been in coma for months! 2 bags on my tummy, 5 operations whilst in coma and a very long journey back. I understand the loneliness of ill health, the strength and courage, resilience and fortitude suddenly folk need to find. To support others in raising the quality of their journeys is possibly the most eclectically positive thing one can do.

Thank you Jaide2001. Although things can be ever so challenging, i have the luck to have kids and grandkids and thus laughter is never far away. These things happen in life to folk, im just one of those, and to find a community wanting to share, care and be kind, has arrived at the right time for me. I am ever so lucky.
