Hi,
I've been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last 2 months and am also waiting to see a specialist for chronic fatigue syndrome, which has been worse over the last month due to the cancer. Because of this I have applied for pip and lcwra.
Since my applications have been sent, my daughter has been awarded middle rate dla, for which I have asked about the carers element and have applied for carers allowance.
Am I able to claim for each of these? As it seems a bit much but our health/disabilities are separate. I don't want to make a mistake claiming for a benefit I shouldn't be.

Carers Allowance will be deducted in full from your UC award.
You can get Carers Element but if awarded LCWRA then CE will end, as the same person cannot get both.
